Legislation affects engineers everywhere as well as clients of engineering firms. It affects the way our world is designed, it affects how we treat what we've already built, it changes how much we pay for the things we use.
The selection of a consulting engineer is one of the most important decisions you will make in completing a successful project. Many state and local governments, as well as private industry, have followed the lead of the federal government in the procurement of consulting engineering services based on Qualifications Based Selection. This section will give you a QBS overview, why to use it, and some suggested guidelines to follow.
